In most of the Asian countries, class tenth is the most important for the students. And mostly State or Central Education Board takes this examination. Bhutan: Lower Secondary (class 9 to 10 same)
India: High School, 10th Grade, 10th class, Secondary Level, Matriculation (old name)
Maldives: Lower Secondary (class 6 to 10 same)
Nepal: Secondary Education Examination (SEE), School Leaving Certificate (SLC) [old name]
Pakistan: Secondary School Certificate Part-2 (SSC Part–2) and Secondary School Certificate Part-1 (SSC Part–1) for class IX.
Sri Lanka: Senior Secondary (class 10 to 11)
British Council: Ordinary Level (O level)
Canada: High School & Secondary School (class 10 to 12 same)
Germany: Middle Maturity Certificate (Hauptschule)
Italy: Secondary (Scuola secondaria di primo grado means first grade secondary school & Scuola secondaria di secondo grado means secondary school)
Japan: Lower Secondary (Chugakko)
South Korea: High School (class 9 to 12 same)
United Kingdom: Comprehensive School, Secondary and Grammar School (age 11 to 16 same)
