(a) There are different schools of thought regarding the social media. Some people see the benefits while others see problems in them. What are your observations? Explain the advantages and disadvantages of the social media giving your position in it.
Answer:
Here, ‘school of thought’ means a set of ideas or opinions that a group of people share about a matter.
There are different opinions of a different group of people about social media.
Some people see the benefits while others see problems in them.
I am going to write here some benefits and problems related to students regarding social media.
Benefits of social media for the students are:
Communication and collaboration with friends
Finding online information for study
Distance learning opportunities
Team project facilities
Video conference abilities etc.
Problems of social media for the students are:
Time wastage
Distractions in education
Reducing learning and research capabilities
Reduces command over languages
Lack of control for inappropriate content
Cyber bullying from peers
Effect on health etc.
My observations
Everything has its pros and cones so as on social media.
There are a lots of study material on Google and YouTube for any age level of the students.
I cannot teachers to repeat chapters and topic in the class but I can search the easiest study materials for my education.
I can watch visual of many study materials; it helps to remember them easily.
If I can limit the use of social media, it is beneficial; otherwise it will destroy the capability of the students.
(b) What is cyber bullying? What are its effects? How can it be stopped?
Answer:
The use of electronic communication to bully a person is known as cyber bullying.
Here, bullying is the use of force, pressure, hurtful teasing, threat, to abuse, aggressively dominate or intimidate.
Effect of cyber bullying
There are three types of effects of cyber bullying; they are emotional effect, mental effect and physical effect.

Listen to kids’ problem and ask their problems.
Know their friends and their background.
Keep notice on internet and social media activities.
Encourage them to speak to a trusted adult if they are bullied.
