TikTok User Fined 14 Lakh Cash and 2 years Prison

Tiktok User Mawada al-Adham and Haneen Hossam Fined 2 years prison and 300,000 Egyptian pound (₹ 14,00,000) each by Egyptian Court.

According to website al-Ahram, “Egyptian TikTok users They are accused of violating the values and principles of Egyptian society and posting indecent (offensive) photos and videos disturbing to public morals.

Three other women fined almost $19,000 also accused of taking part in inappropriate video calls with men.

They have been charged with inciting debauchery (sin) and immorality with the content they post on the video-sharing platform TikTok.

Under Egyptian law, inciting debauchery charges is used against a range of offences.

The public prosecutor’s office charges by saying that  inciting debauchery is against Egyptian society’s traditions and morals.
